Mike Sedano
Mike Sedano, a San Francisco native raised in the Sunset District, began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2006. A few years later, he started taking the martial art more seriously and continued his practice even after relocating to Los Angeles. In 2019, Mike achieved a significant milestone when he received his black belt from Master Rigan Machado. Reflecting on his journey, Mike has stated, "My goal is not only to continue learning Jiu-Jitsu but also to pass knowledge on to other students." Parkside Jiu-Jitsu is thrilled to have Mike Sedano as one of its instructors, helping to bring the art of Jiu-Jitsu to the community.

Dante Giovannelli
Dante Giovannelli is a San Francisco native and a 26-year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department. He is currently assigned to the Police Shooting Range as a Firearms Instructor. Dante has been training in Jiu-Jitsu for more than 12 years in San Francisco and received his Black Belt from Ralph Gracie in 2019. Passionate about teaching youth self-defense, discipline, and accountability, Dante shares the many benefits Jiu-Jitsu has taught him. He created and led the SFPAL Jiu-Jitsu program at the San Francisco Police Academy for three years until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the program to shut down.

Nathalie Kaplan
Nathalie Kaplan began her Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2014, training under the guidance of Mike and Dante. For the past 15 years, she has been raising her three French-American children in the vibrant city of San Francisco. Nathalie's dedication and skill in Jiu-Jitsu were recognized when she received her black belt from Mike Sedano. Throughout her training, she has developed a deep passion for sharing the transformative benefits and life-changing skills that Jiu-Jitsu has imparted to her. Nathalie is particularly enthusiastic about teaching children, women, and individuals from all walks of life, helping them discover the empowering aspects of this martial art.
